Becca is a thirty-year-old woman living in Seattle with her husband in a house that could rival Zuckerburg’s. But all is not as it seems. Her husband has grown increasingly more controlling, and Becca no longer recognizes the woman staring back at her in the mirror. She knows she needs to leave. Just before she walks out their front door for the last time, a shocking discovery in her husband’s desk will put her in contact with the federal government and send her into hiding on a small island off the coast of Georgia. As Becca starts a new life with a new identity, she meets an interesting set of characters, including her strait-laced and enigmatic boss’s son, who help her learn to trust people – and herself – once again. It turned out that it was only in a new place and with a new name that she stood the best chance of finding herself.
